Sashiko Tumbling Blocks Design Set Samples
Instructions for how to do these are in the Ideas book that is included on the Cd in the pdf folder.
First sample is the table runner on the left. It shows all of the ten designs and the Tumbling block design in the 4 inch size.
The next one is a placemat with napking holder, napkin and coaster. The designs on the placemat and the napkin are 4 inches tall. The coaster was a 6 inch design that was lined in the embroidery machine.
The designs can also be used to embellish garments
The design looks as good done in the traditional white, but also looks very effective when done using a variegated thread. Not as formal, and perhaps a little more contemporary looking.
